Mary Alice specializes in working with children and their families. She currently spits her time between Moran Family Counseling and Rady Children’s Hospital where she conducts emergency room mental health evaluations. Mary Alice has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings to assist the wellbeing of children, including but not limited to, residential services, WRAP services, Child Welfare Services, Escondido Union School District, and community-based programs over the past 8 years.
Mary Alice is local to San Diego and completed her Bachelors at San Diego State University and her Masters at California State University, San Marcos.
Mary Alice uses a bend of play-based therapy, trauma informed practices, and solution focused therapy to assist each child and family that she works with to reach their overall goals. She believes in truly getting to know each of her clients on an individual level to foster feelings of trust and safety in session.
Mary Alice is currently accepting new clients and offers session both online and in office in both English and Spanish.
Although Mary Alice has completed all of her clinical hours toward licensure and passed her first licensing exam, she is awaiting approval from the Board of Behavioral Sciences to take her final licensing exam. She is supervised by Jessica Moran, LMFT.
